A nurse contacts you beforehand to review your child's medical history and go over all day-of instructions.
Your child breathes flavored anesthesia gas to gently fall asleep — no needles needed to start.
Once asleep, an IV is placed to keep your child comfortably sedated for the full procedure.
Your dentist completes all necessary dental work in one visit — eliminating multiple return appointments.
Most children are awake and ready to go home within 15–30 minutes and can eat right away.
Day of Procedure
Following these guidelines carefully ensures your child's procedure goes smoothly and safely.
No solid food, milk, or formula
Clear liquids only — water, juice, Jell-O, popsicles, Gatorade
Nothing by mouth at all in the final 3 hours

Anesthesia fees are separate from your dental bill and are based on the length of the procedure. Fees are determined in advance so you can plan ahead. A deposit is collected at scheduling and full payment is required before the appointment.
Many medical insurance companies do not cover anesthesia for office-based dental care. Our fees are generally lower than hospital co-pays and deductibles, allowing us to pass those savings directly to you.
